About the Creative Tech Writer

The Creative Tech Writer is a work in progress, previously focusing on the art and craft of technical writing as it applies to a variety of fields, and vice versa. It's now degraded significantly into a common weblog. All content is authored by Jenny L. Berger unless expressed otherwise.

Author Details

Jenny Berger has worked as a business writer since 1995. In 1997, she expanded her largely-administrative position at a local HMO to include more tech-centric duties ("because I was the only one in the office who knew what a database was and how to use one"), training and end-user documentation among them. In 1999, Jenny moved into a technical writing position at a dot-com hosting provider (which, strangely enough, is still hobbling along), and has remained in the technical writing profession ever since, despite the economy.

Since then, Jenny has worked on a variety of business and technical writing projects, including hardware and software documentation, policies and procedures, customer care documents, employee benefit plans, small-business Web sites, corporate training workbooks, PDF forms, online and Web-based help, and end-user manuals.

Currently, Jenny resides near Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
